O-1A vs EB-1A: work visa or green card
The O-1A and EB-1A ask for the same kind of evidence, which is why people often confuse them. The big difference is that one is a work visa and the other is a green card.

Why many people start with the O-1A
The O-1A bar is lower, so it's often the first step. You keep building the same evidence, with more progress, and use it later for an EB-1A.
Reusing your evidence
Judging, papers, press and a critical role count for both. Keep your proof organized from the start, so you don't have to collect it twice.
Questions
Can I file an EB-1A while I'm on an O-1A?
